Mountain biking has a long tradition in the Hostýn hills. In 1885 the first Cycle Association of its kind in Moravia was established in Bystřice pod Hostýnem. Nowadays you can find several newly marked cycle paths in the Hostýn hills where even cycle races on mountain bikes take place.

We prepared for you two cycle trips of various degree of difficulty, recommended as tips for cycle trips. Both trails are lead in order that tourists can see as many interesting places worth seeing in the Hostýn hills as they can. Both trips will take you to picturesque villages with folk architecture such as Rajnochovice and Rusava, one of the most beautiful villages in the Czeech Republic. You are going to visit Tesák - an important recreation centre which is a paradise of a good many tourists in the winter season. Or you can see the pseudokarst caves located in the nature reserve of Smrdutá.

Because our starting point - the town Bystřice pod Hostýnem is situated in the Hostýn foothills, you should be prepared to tackle some hills and hillocks.
