Route description
We start our trip in the Zahájené park (1) at the railway bridge crossing the road in the direction of Chvalčov (2). Riding upstream the Bystřička river we arrive up at garages next to the former Chvalčov Unified Farmers´ Cooperative, where we turn left, pass by a new sawmill (joining cycle path no. 5037). We continue through the fields until we arrive to Loukov military base. We ride through the avenue of chestnut trees past the Loukov gamekeeper´s lodge and continue along an asphalt road uphill in the direction of the Javorník massif. We meet the green sign for a while, but we stick to the forest track which will lead to the crossroads "U kamenného domku". From here we ride downhill to the left until we arrive at a grassy glade ended by a road block. Behind the block we turn right joining a forest track and about 30 to 50 metres ride we can see an embankment of a former railway track. There is a track to the forest behind the embankment leading to Rajnochovice (3) to the local pub "Ve Dvoře". The embankment is a bit bumpy at first, but its second part is already very nice. After we refresh ourselves in the pub, we set out to the right along a small pond in the Rosošná valley. The asphalt road will lead us to a stone-built hut at former charcoal piles. Here we turn into the forest, passing by the Fons Teodori stream (4) and finish our trip by arriving to Tesák. (5).

The way back from Tesák to Bystřice can be made in many ways the fastest of which is the way along the main road and the most beautiful is the one along the tourist signs via Smrdutá (6) and Janče. The whole tour is about 33 kilometres long.

Description of sights

The park Zahájené (1) - the municipal park Zahájené is very old and with its area of 9 hectares it forms the largest part of the town greenery. There is a children´s playground, swimming-pool, mini-golf course and a garden restaurant in the area. The local small pond was established before the First World War and adapted during 1971 - 72. Next to the park there is a sports facility with football stadium and tennis courts. The so called "Ondrušek´s avenue" in the park Zahájené leads from The Land Liberation Monument to the road in the direction of Chvalčov.

There are several natural reservations, marked tourist trails, recreation centres and in the winter skiing facilities, including ski lifts. It is the second SOS village in the Czech Republic.

This well originated due to an event which occured in 1894: "In 1894 the arrival of the newly-elected, Dr. Theodor Kohn, the bishop of Olomouc to Rajnochovice was announced. Preparations were made for the greeting ceremonies. All of the villagers stood on the sides of the leading road and in Rajnochovice, and gathered in front of the forest warden´s administrative building. The archbishop did not stop in the church, his carriage drove to the forest, he visited the primeval forest at a log site where thawing water from spring had accumulated for the logging of lumber by water. He didn´t even touched the prepared meal for him, but ate baked potatoes from a camp fire at the site. Then he drank water from the spring well designed as a small chapel with the inscription "Fons Theodori" and the date "MCM". It was completed by František Hasal.

Tesák (5) - best preserved remains of a fir-beech primaeval forest, dominated with fir trees which are approximately 170 years old. The winter season Tesák recreation centre is the highest elevated and largest ski recreation centre in the Hostýn hills. The centre´s ski lifts are 750 metres above sea level. At the same time the centre is an ideal starting point for trail hikes along the ridges.

Significant geomorphologic configurations can be found here - such as sandstone ledges with lovely cave -appearing rifts.
