Contains and purpose of the Festival

This International Folklore Festival continues the rich popular traditions of the region of Červený Kostelec and uses the possibility to organise performances of many non-professional folklore groups. So the groups have the possibility to contact each other, to exchange skills and materials and of course to have performances with a large audience. The Festival helps to increase the aesthetic feeling of children, youth and adults and gives the region the biggest cultural event of all the year.

The Folklore Festival Červený Kostelec is the biggest action of this sort in all the region and one of the most important in the Czech republic. It is also the oldest folklore festival in Bohemia. The main purpose of the Festival is to keep the popular traditions of the region the Giants´and the Eagle´s Mountains.

The Festival organisers invite groups from all the regions of Bohemia and Moravia and of course groups from abroad, quite form the whole world, to get friendship with the local group HADAŘ.
