A 14th century castle, built to defent a domain, with an excellent system of crenellated fortifications that ensured that it was never sacked.
From the 15th century the property of the Zajíc family, who abandoned it in the second half of the 16th century when their seat was moved to Budyně.
The lower circles of the Black Tower are preserved, as are the foursquare White Tower and its bulwarks on the peak.
