Castle Písek [ Castle or ruin of castle ]
The castle was built in the middle of the 13th century by Přemysl Otakar II. who at the same time founded the town of Písek.
The second oldest bridge in Central Europe dates back to these times (national cultural memorial).
At the beginning of the 15th century even the king Václav IV was burned down and later it became desolate. Only the western wing has remained of the original castle. Today it is a museum.
